Painting the Light — Watercolour White Techniques
Capture the magic
Mid to late June is the time for white peonies. How do you paint a white flower without using white paint? How do you paint as complex a flower as a white peony? Frankly you don't. You start with something a little less challenging.
Learn to paint an elegant white Japanese Anemone flower with Crystal Beshara. Using Crystal's step-by-step, expert guidance, you'll create your own delicate floral painting, capturing the light in white. We'll send you home with a bouquet of freshly picked white peonies to practice what you've learned.
What you’ll learn
This one-day workshop takes a deep dive into the complex world of painting whites. Using a stunning Japanese Anemone as reference, you will learn how to mix luminous shadows, handle delicate glazing and create a striking sense of depth with just the right amount of expressiveness
